One of the members of our Bass Section, Brian Mullen, recently got married on the 11th March 2022 and asked if the choir would be prepared to sing a couple of songs during the ceremony. Of course, we were more than happy to accommodate him and so we visited Rosslea Hotel in the village of Rhu on the Clyde coast.
Now Brian had not told his intended that we were going to be there. In fact, she did not know we were there till we started singing from the back of the room where the ceremony was taking place. It was a bit of a surprise, in fact she thought the hotel had made a mistake and were playing the ‘wrong’ music whilst they were signing the paperwork. Brian informed his beloved that it was the right music. In fact it was ‘Unchained Melody’ and ‘Let it be me’ both of which expressed his feelings for his new bride.
Brian has very kindly provided us with some photographs taken by the official photographer showing the choir, accompanied by Aileen Barnett, as we sang the 2 songs. Thanks for this Brian and may the choir wish you and your wife all the best in the coming years.
