It is with much sadness and regret that we have to advise of the passing of Pat Robinson today, 1st April 2020, as a result of contracting the coronavirus. Unfortunately, it is no joke.

Pat was a long serving member of the choir and was the Section Steward for the Bass section. He was renowned for a cheery disposition and his bag of throat sweets that came with him to every rehearsal and concert.

The reference to Working Man, is that it was one of the songs that he lead with a solo, followed by the Bass section and then the whole choir. In fact, in the last concert we did before the coronavirus outbreak, he performed that very song.

Whilst it is a bit of a cliché, it is true, he will be missed and it is very frustrating that the choir will not be able to give him the send off that he deserves.

Rest in Peace Pat.
