About Our Choir

Our choir members come not only from the local area but all parts of the West of Scotland and range in ages from 19 to 90. A love of music and singing, with the reward of friendships and enjoyment to follow, are the only requirements to join the choir, and share the fellowship.

If you are curious and would like to find out what happens at rehearsals then why not come along to one of our rehearsals. You don’t have to take part but can sit at the back of the room and observe what we get up to. If you like what you see then you will be more than welcome to join us, if not then it will be good just to see you and have a chat.

HELP!!!

The Choir is still looking for a new Musical Director and/or an accompanist. Due to ill health our accompanist had to leave the choir and our Musical Director is having to do 2 jobs. She has expressed a willingness to becoming our accompanist if we can get a new Musical Director. Can you, or anyone you know, help us out here either as a Musical Director or accompanist? If so please click here and fill in the Contact Us page to get in touch with the choir. Thank you.

Also, calling all Basses and Baritones, come to think of it any Tenors as well, in the West Central Belt of Scotland. Would you be interested in joining us? We are, as always, on the lookout for new members, particularly those in the above sections. Come along and join in the fun.

Click on the button below to take you to details of how to join us.

Would you like to Book the Choir for a Concert?

The Choir has a large and varied repertoire of music featuring music from the shows such as ‘Stars’ from ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Anthem’ from ‘Chess’.

We also feature traditional Scottish music as well as Irish and American. In fact, it is a varied and enjoyable selection that we offer. As a season moves on, new pieces are introduced and our programme changes.

We also have solo selections by individual members of the choir which helps break the programme up into sections. You are even encouraged to ‘join in’ at times.

Our Concerts are generally in the region of 90 minutes but if you would prefer a shorter programme then this can be arranged.
